Here are some facts about common animals that are always seen around us..
1)Butterfly has 12000 eyes
Do You Know Butterflies have 2 compound eyes and each eye contain 6000 small eyes called eyelets. Each small eye sees the image and than combine all images to form a single image.And yes butterfly does not have eyes on their wings.They have two compound eyes which is made up of 12000 small eyes.

2)Housefly lifespan
Houseflies pass through four distinct stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. The life expectancy of a housefly is generally 15 to 30 days and depends upon temperature and living conditions.Normally It has a lifespan of 28 days in high temperature.
3)Frog sleep with their eyes open
Even when they sleep, frogs do not close their eyes. Frogs do, however, have eyelids that blink to protect their eyes from dirty residue and preserve moisture. Frogs also have a third eyelid, called the nictitating eyelid, that facilitates a clear view when swimming underwater or on land.
4)Snake swallow the whole food
All snakes swallow their food whole. While they do have teeth, the teeth are made for grabbing, hooking and holding their prey, not chewing. Food in the snake’s stomach can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of months to breakup or digest. That is a long time to work on a meal!
Believe it or not, some snakes only need to eat a couple times a year!
5)Only Female mosquito bites
Only female mosquitoes bite. Both male and female feed mainly on fruit and plant nectar, but the female also needs the protein in blood to help her eggs develop. Once she's had her fill of blood, she'll rest for a couple of days before laying her eggs.
