Few facts about daily day life you aren't aware of

Hello friends,

Here are the few facts about our daily day life, we aren't aware of

1) Lighter was invented before match

Image result for first pistol lighter

Do you know that lighter was invented before matches. The first lighter was invented in 16th century in the form of pistol.

2) Don't use earbud

Image result for ear buds in not good

Ear bud which we usually use to clear our ears can actually damage our ears and can even cause hearing loss. We think that it removes dust and ear wax from ear but ear wax are actually good for our ears as it protect ears from outside bacteria but due to ear bud we push this ear wax more and more inside which can block our ears and can cause hearing loss.

3) Don't pop your pimples

Image result for popping pimples

That’s because popping pimples can leave you with scars, or worse, an infection. When you pop a pimple, you’re actually tearing open your skin in the process. You’re also introducing bacteria from your hands into the open wound, which can therefore become infected, leave a permanent scar, or make you very ill.

In fact, there’s something called “the triangle of death” on your face — it’s so called because getting an infection in this area can cause you to die. How so? Blood vessels in this area drain to the back of your head, at the base of your brain. This area also opens up to the sinuses. If not treated right away, an infection in your sinus cavity can be very serious, leading to paralysis, loss of vision, or even death. That’s a mighty good reason to keep your hands off those pimples, wouldn’t you say?

It’s because these veins around the nose, mouth and eyes are so close to the brain that bacteria introduced to your face basically gives those bacteria free rein to wreak havoc. A cut on your finger wouldn’t necessarily be quite as dangerous.

4) Don't pick your nose

Picking your nose can introduce the same bacteria to your brain just as fast as popping a pimple can. So stay healthy, and keep your hands off of your face.

5) Avoid bottled water

As per research bottled water contains more bacteria than tap water which is actually not good for our wealth. We think that bottled water has a price tag and it must be pure and refined but it is not so..

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel’s comment on ‘Poor India’: Did he even say this?

 Hello friends,

It is in the news that Snapchat Ceo said India a poor country. So as an Indian I also felt bad and and like others deleted snapchat but then I searched the statement or any video or any recording where he made such statement but what I found was : He didn't make any such statement. Actually this is what happened.

Snapchat is in the news in India for all the wrong reasons. #UninstallSnapchat is trending big and apparently Google Play Store ratings for the app have fallen.

Snapchat, Evan Spiegel, Snapchat CEO, Snapchat rating, Snapchat CEO India negative comment, Snapchat Poor India comment, Snapchat CEO Variety, Snapchat case, Snapchat backlash India, Uninstall Snapchat, #BoycottSnapchat, apps, technology, technology news

The reason: Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel is alleged to have said the following statement in 2015: “This app is only for rich people… I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain.”
For Snapchat, the report doesn’t come at a good time. The company just went public with its IPO and raised over $3.4 billion, but the competition is winning. Instagram Stories now has 200 million daily active users, much more than the 158 million DAUs on Snapchat. Plus it doesn’t help that reports over the last few months have indicated that Snapchat Stories have seen a fall in views for the big creators.

What exactly did Spiegel say?

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel is alleged to have made this statement in 2015, according to a report in Variety. The crux of the statement is this: Snapchat isn’t an app for poor countries, where people might be on lower end phones, might not have high-end connectivity all at times. Also Spiegel supposedly cites India and Spain as examples.

The context for this: A lawsuit filed by a former Snapchat employee called Anthony Pompliano.

While Spiegel is denying this statement, and it is hard to prove whether he made such statement or not. However, this thing affect the Snapchat a lot. So at least, it sets and example to the world how powerful India is.!

Problem with India.

If you look at their statement, India typically is not a market where they will do well. Sure all of a sudden 4G is popular thanks to Reliance Jio, but our internet connectivity is far from excellent.
Also many users in India are first time smartphone users, on low-end Android phones, and prefer to conserve data. This also explains why people love WhatsApp or Facebook, which have made sure their apps work well in the country, even with 2G connectivity.
For its part, Snapchat does require a constant and heavy duty internet connection, since the app is so geared around uploading and consuming video content. It has no ‘data saver’ mode as such, though there is a ‘Travel mode’ which you can use to ensure video is loaded only when you tap on the Story.

Like we have said, there’s no way of proving Spiegel actually made the statement.

5 Things which were not shown in MS Dhoni biopic

Hello Friends,

We all are the great fan of M.S Dhoni the cool captain of India. So, every one of us had seen Ms Dhoni-the untold story. So that we can know M.S Dhoni better. But many things were twisted to make the movie interesting and many things were not even shown and some of them are as follows

1)Dhoni’s brother:

As mentioned before, besides his supportive sister, Mahendra Singh Dhoni also had a brother named Narendra. However, due to certain unknown circumstances, we hear that the Dhoni family had severed ties from him. And it is exactly for this reason that the film has no mention of Narendra in it.

2)Priyanka Jha - his school friend

Priyanka Jha was from the same school as Dhoni, the DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali. And they didn't meet in aeroplane as shown in movie. While Dhoni came from a humble background, Priyanka’s family was financially strong. Dhoni’s economic status was no issue for Priyanka, who was completely besotted by him.  There was a time when even the closest of Dhoni’s friends and family thought that it was stupid on his part to resign from the railway ticket collector’s job. Only Priyanka and Dhoni’s sister-in-law stood by him.

Priyanka was the reason Dhoni got the nerve to fight against all odds and emerge as a sportstar from Jharkhand. Unfortunately, she was not around to see her boyfriend ascend pinnacles of success.  She died in a car accident in 2002. Dhoni did not play cricket for 6 months after her death.

3)Sakshi was also from same school

Also Sakshi was his childhood friend and was from same school as Dhoni but Sakshi was 8 years junior to Dhoni and they got separated later when she went to pursue a career in HM and Dhoni in cricket and they later meet after 10yrs in the Taj hotel in kolkata. Dhoni and Sakhi’s father knew each other as they worked in the same company MECON.

4)Ms Dhoni's love towards Deepika

When Ms Dhoni was reaching the peak of his career and Deepika Padukone made smashing Debut opposite King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om in the year 2008. Dhoni did his every  bit to meet this girl and even asked Shah Rukh Khan to introduce him to Deepika but Later he came to know that Deepika and Yuvraj are in relationship.

5) Dhoni's new home

Success Story of Whatsapp Founder

Hello Friends,

(Those who want to listen the story in Hindi, can watch the video given below..)

The story of Whatsapp is a live example of where innovation in technology takes people and their communication. With billions of users addicted to Whatsapp style of keeping in touch, it is worthwhile to explore what went behind making this phenomenon happen.

Initial Life

The man we are talking about is the son of a construction labourer. The story of 41 year old Jan Koum(as of 2017), is inspiration for the current generation on internet entrepreneurs. A man who did not have hot water facility at his home, the man who cleaned the floors of a grocery store at the age of 16, the man who stood in the que for collecting food stamps, is now a Silicon Valley badshah.

Jan was born and raised in a village on the outskirts of Kiev, Ukraine. He was the only child to his parents, his mother was a housewife and father was an ordinary construction labourer.

With his hard work, he finally got into San Jose State University where he took training in programming.

Business partner

Jan met his business partner, Brian while working at Yahoo as an engineer. They worked together in Yahoo for almost nine years and then left the company together. Then they applied to Facebook, but saw no luck. They had no plans to become rich until they thought of making an app for iPhone users. They then created the app which received tremendous success in a very less time. This was because the users found it pretty easy to use and they need not to register anywhere in order to use the application. This was the dream come true for both the partners.

Failure faced

The initial models failing, Koum was disheartened, and was almost about to give up when Acton persuaded him to keep at it. Finally in the  November of 2009, after months of beta testing, WhatsApp launched in the app store for iPhones. The blackberry version was released just two months later. Even after initial launch, no one was aware of the app for two years and very few people downloaded it.

Earning Through the app

Jan and Brian earned millions of dollars without any advertising on the app. They made money in two ways. They started charging iPhone users on first time installation and the Android users every year. A lot of people used the app and paid both of them. Reports state that around 250 million people use WhatsApp in a month. This is a huge number for any application to reach in the smartphone space.
Tricks used
Both the partners worked at Yahoo and hence learnt the tricks of the trade. Yahoo works with advertisements. Most users do not like advertisements flashing while using an application. Understanding this, the two made an app which is simple to use devoid of barriers in the form of advertisements. That alone made WhatsApp most loved by the users worldwide.
Company Employees and Acquisition
There are only 55 employees in the WhatsApp Inc. But they serve millions of people each day. The main aim of the app is to provide a simple interface to the users enabling them to stay in contact with their loved ones. WhatsApp is now bought over and owned by Facebook and this made both the partners, Jan and Brian billionaires in a very short period of time. The deal went down for US $19 Billion, it was Facebook’s largest acquisition till then.

Now when Koum is a billionaire, he still has not forgot his past. When he signed the deal with Facebook, he chose the same social services building as the venue where he stood in a queue to collect food stamps.

Common Mistakes We do in Singular Plural

Hello Friends,

Singular and Plural Nouns

Today, I picked up a few thing at the stores, and then I picked up my childs at school. Just a regular day in my lifes, like many other daies!

As the problems in that sentence demonstrate, it's important to pay attention to whether the nouns we use are singular or plural and to know how to make nouns plural the right way.

So, let us understand the concept first

1)'es' at end

Singular nouns ending in 's', 'ss', 'sh', 'ch', 'x', or 'z' need an 'es' at the end to become plural.

Example:- crutch, a box, and a blintz, which would become crutches, boxes, and blintzes.

(Note that some singular nouns ending in 's' or 'z' require that you double the 's' or 'z' before adding an 'es'. example quiz-quizzes.)

2) 'is' with es

Most nouns ending in 'is', drop the 'is' and add '-es'.

For example:-

crisis - crises | hypothesis - hypotheses | oasis - oases

3) 'ves' at end

Some nouns ending in 'f' or in 'fe'  require that you change the 'f' to a 'v' and then add an 'es' at the end to make them plural.

Example:-leaf-leaves, wolf-wolves

4) 'ies' at end

Nouns that end in 'y' often require that you change the 'y' to an 'i', and then add an 'es' at the end to make them plural.

example- baby-babies

5) y and vowels

With a noun that ends with 'y', if there's a vowel ('a, e, i, o, u') right before the 'y', then you just add an 's' at the end to make the noun plural.

example- boy-boys, toy-toys

6) s

Most of the words not cover above usually ends with s

example- bag-bags, dog-dogs

Mistakes We usually do in Singular and Plural are as follows

They are said to be exempted words, as they follow different rule, but we often forget these words

     Singular         Plural

1)belief        -     beliefs

5)roof           -     roofs
6)cafe           -     cafes
7)safe           -     safes

B)Uncommon noun

8)child          -     children
9)person      -      people
10)man        -      men
11)woman   -      women
12)foot         -      feet
13)goose      -      geese
14)mouse     -     mice
15)tooth       -     teeth
16)ox            -    oxen
17)index        -     indices or indexes

19)fish           -     fish
20)headquarters - headquarters
21)sheep        -    sheep
22)species     -    species

D)Uncountable nouns on the other hand have no plural form and take a singular verb (is / was ...).

For example:-

advice
information
luggage
news
There is a lot of luggage on the plane, but a piece of luggage has gone missing.

E)Some nouns (especially those associated with two things) exist only in the plural form and take a plural verb (are / were...).

For example:-

cattle
scissors
trousers
tweezers
congratulations
pyjamas

Have you seen my scissors? They were on my desk.
